Biography

Dr. Coleman is a Georgia Licensed Physician trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, she attended North Hall High School and was Valedictorian of the class of 1986. She did her pre-med studies at North Georgia College (now known as University of North Georgia). She completed medical school at Medical College of Georgia (now known as Augusta University). Dr. Coleman completed her Internship at Community Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia in association with University of Virginia.

She completed her residency in OB-Gyn at Humility of Mary Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio in association with NEOUCOM and Ohio State University. While Chief OB-Gyn Resident, Dr. Coleman’s research paper involving Amnioinfusion’s relationship with Meconium Aspiration was selected as best research paper among all residency programs. Dr. Coleman passed her board certification written exam in 2001.

After working for the Toccoa Clinic, Dr. Coleman started Northeast Georgia Gynecology in 2004. Dr. Coleman remains active in Obstetrics by frequently covering OB call as a Locum Tenens Physician at various facilities, but does not manage pregnancy at Northeast Georgia Gynecology beyond confirming pregnancy. She continues to serve on the board of the Georgia OB-Gyn Society since 2010, has served on the board of the North Georgia Community Foundation, was a founding board member of Women’s Source, and supports many community programs that involve women’s health. In addition to the Georgia OB-Gyn Society, she also currently serves on the board of Women of UNG (University of North Georgia) and on the advisory board for AEON Global Health.
